Professional biography:

Todd Brossart, LCSW, BCD, is the creator and founder of the Daily Mindfulness Lab. You can also find more of his clinical work at, Mental Events.

In 2004, Todd earned his Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Minnesota State University Moorhead. His commitment to mental health advocacy in the community was recognized by the North Dakota Conference on Social Welfare, where he received the Outstanding Student Social Work Award and Scholarship in September, 2004.

Continuing his educational journey, Todd achieved his Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Denver in 2008. His exceptional academic performance led to special honors recognition by the Phi Alpha Honor Society.

Joining the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) outpatient mental health clinic in the same year, Todd furthered his clinical practice. During his 12 years with the VA, he acquired expertise in evidence-based mental health modalities such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Substance Use Disorders, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Social Skills Training for Psychotic Disorders.

In 2010, Todd's outstanding outreach mental health efforts in rural communities garnered special recognition and national honors from VA Department Secretary, Eric Shinseki - Secretary’s Award for Outstanding Achievement in Providing Mental Health Services to Homeless Veterans. Four years later, he was honored once again by the Adams County Court for Veterans in Brighton, CO, receiving an Award of Merit for Outstanding Service for his exceptional community mental health efforts.

Seeking personal and professional growth, Todd participated in the somatic experiencing/men's emotional leadership training through the Evryman program in 2018. This training enriched his understanding of somatic experiencing and emotional leadership, enhancing his therapeutic skills.

Todd has been an ongoing student of the advanced business education and study of Transactional Philosophy through Influential U. Todd has studied transactional behavior, delving into the mechanics and practice of building complex transactions. He completed the Fundamentals of Transaction curriculum in 2021, and Mechanics and Practice curriculum in 2023.

In 2023, Todd completed the Psychedelic Somatic Institute's (PSI), apprenticeship program. This program enables him to integrate the therapeutic potential of psychedelics and somatic practices into his clinical work, further expanding his ability to support individuals on their healing journeys. Having finished the seven-month apprenticeship, Todd continues on in the study of the curriculum for further mastery.

With gratitude,

Todd Brossart, LCSW, BCD

Despair after a near fatal accident in 2019 was the invitation I needed to awaken to what matters most. After trying traditional forms of therapy - therapy that I’ve been trained in - it was time for something more immersive that could help me associate to the trauma I experienced and heal from it.

After a few years of ignoring the constant finger tapping on my shoulder reminding me what was underneath the surface, I enrolled in the Psychedelic Somatic Institute apprenticeship training. Having gone through this in-depth work, afterwards my body feels more present than ever, and my relationship with impermanence is in a healthy place.
